Originating from Peru, this amazing instrument has infected latin music all over south America find it s way back to Europe via Flamenco pioneers like Paco De Lucia and finally into use in popular music in the UK by it s appeal as a great accompaniment for acoustic gigs and especially small promotional tours for rising stars. It sounds like a little drum-and-bass kit but it s easy to transport! It is played by slapping the main body of the front panel for a "kick" style sound. The slapping the top edges to resonate some ingenious snares inside the box, to create a "snare" type sound.
